Can we really solve our problems?

I don’t believe our problems can ever really be solved. For problems arise only out of the egoic mind. Problems stem from the fear of the unknown and the build up of our inner resistance to life and our role in it. To the mind, the thought of saying there are no problems seems insane or even can create anger. The mind says look at me, look at my life, I have lots of problems. But you see the root of all so called problems lie in our unwillingness to merge with life. To anchor our being in the present moment. To stop believing in the illusion of past and future. For these are just false prisons that the egoic mind uses to create a separate sense of self, the ‘me’. But the truth is that these inner prisons are constructed of thoughts and emotions, most that are mostly not even of our own making, but have been handed down to us through are conditioning. And so when it seems that one person “solves” their problem immediately and someone else does not, it is a matter of the person soul being ready to remember the truth of not who but what they are. This could be simply because the timing of their life conditioning and the suffering that it has created, has created a window, an opening for a deeper realization to take place. It also could be that the karma of the incarnation has been lead to the moment of awakening from the dream state of the self centered mind. My feeling is that is usually is a combination of both realties being simutanounly played out. For this window of awakening, of the “problem” being solved is in realty, the illusion of problems dissolving into the light of inner awareness. And those that seem to not have their “problems” solved may simply not be ready. This is not a negative thing. In fact, knowing how the process of awakening occurs allows us to stop forcing our way through life. Of letting go of this need to run away from our problems. It gives us the spiritual courage to actually move deeper into the problem. To stop seeing it as an enemy and begin to see the gift of inner liberation it is helping us to rejoin. No person, no holy text, no pilgrimage can do any of this for you. These things can help point the way, but they can never be the answer that we are seeking. The act as mirrors to where we are in life. And though this may seem to be overwhelming and impossible. It allows us to see that we have a divine right and ability to shed the layers of self and unite with our true nature. That with an open and willing heart, we can reunite with the peace and equanimity that is our souls birthright. Allow your dharma to unfold through you. Live fully engaged in each moment and know that your problems are your greatest teachers, and as you learn from these problems, they on their own accord will gently fall away from your life’s experience. Trust the wisdom that lives within your spiritual heart.
